Jim Love from Design Group in Elkhart, Indiana asked if we would build a desk for one of his clients who found himself doing increasing amounts of work at home. The client did not need storage and he was quite tall. The client did need a large work surface and legroom. Jim suggested an English style writing table 80 long by 36 wide. So we came up with this design.
Despite its light and graceful appearance, the desk is very solidly built. The elaborate stretcher pattern is designed to strengthen the legs and give the case the rigidity it needs to handle a heavy load. Made in two sizes. A keyboard pullout shelf is optional. Be sure to specify where you want it.
