Bowfront Chest
36W 20D 40H
Species: Mahogany
Finish: M1
Unlike our other bowfront pieces which are copies or adaptations of antiques, this chest was designed from the center drawer of our 1837 Sideboard. In most of our designs, each drawer is a single board. I think each of these drawer fronts has seventeen pieces. All drawers lock.
If I have to tell you this is a good looking chest,
we're both in trouble.
No. 583
Dutch Style Chest
36 1/2W 21D 31 1/2H
Species: Cherry
The original is made of rosewood veneer over oak, of Dutch design and probably English manufacture. Our copy is in cherry. A very handsome smaller chest designed three hundred years ago.
No. 586
Double Chest
67W 27D 31 1/2
Species: Cherry
The No. 586 Double Chest has the same size drawers as the 583. The unusual grain pattern on the fronts is incidental and the result of the band saw slicing through the growth rings of the flat-cut cherry boards. An example of serendipity. If the same cut had been made through a lump of cheese, who would care? Both of these pieces look best when made to look old.

Mule Chest
61 3/4W 21 1/2D 34 1/2H
Species: Yewwood and Mahogany
No. 1885
Bachelor's Chest
34W 20D 34H
Species: Mahogany
The design is English and the size is typical of the period. Why these are called a bachelor's chest has not been revealed to me. Pull out slide. These pineapple drawer pulls are brass and will oxidize over time. Furious polishing will result in sore fingers and bright brass. Remove the brass before polishing.
